Background
Fika Inc., which runs the hostel UNPLAN Fukuoka, wanted guests to be free of the front desk from arrival until after check-out.
Solution
UNPLAN Fukuoka introduced KEYVOX Smart Lockers and KEYVOX smart locks together, and runs a check-in system of its own that works with them.
- Like boarding a flight, guests check in and pay in advance, then go straight to their rooms without stopping at the front desk
- Guests can drop their suitcases in the locker room first and head out sightseeing
- After check-out, the same PIN lets them access their suitcases freely for the rest of the day
