FAQ
What types of doors can it be installed on?+
Compatible with deadbolts (PiACKII integration), electric locks and automatic doors (BR1/WD1 modules), and gates/fences (IPX6 waterproof). For sliding doors and special locks, use SESAME integration. For doors where smart locks can't be installed, the BX1 key box is available.
Can it unlock offline?+
Yes. With patented offline QR code technology, no internet connection is needed at the moment of unlocking. PIN code unlocking also works offline. Wi-Fi is used for log synchronization and remote management.
What happens if the batteries run out?+
Runs approximately 6 months on AA batteries, with dashboard alerts when battery level is low. In case of battery depletion, you can unlock using a mobile battery via the USB Type-C external power port.
Can it be installed outdoors?+
The QR1 LE supports outdoor installation with IPX6-rated water resistance. Proven track record at RV parks, skate parks, and dog run gates and fences. However, we recommend installing an awning as water droplets on the QR reader can make scanning difficult.
Can it integrate with existing PMS or booking systems?+
API integration is available with major services including AirHost, beds24, HOTEL SMART, innto, minpakuIN, Check Inn, and MujInn. Automated PIN code generation and notification linked to booking information is supported.
How does the SESAME integration work?+
QR codes issued by the KEYVOX cloud are authenticated, then the compatible SESAME lock is unlocked via Bluetooth. Enables low-cost KEYVOX compatibility for sliding doors and locks where PiACKII can't be installed. Compatible with SESAME 5 and above. No Wi-Fi hub required.
